Our annual Hunter weekend was once again a great success. 14 members enjoyed wonderful food, drives and company while the Hunter Valley was looking it's Spring best.
Saturday started with a cooking class by Jen Nicita at her Our Italian Table cooking school which included a delicious pasta lunch looking out over the vines and mountains. Those not cooking joined us for drinks and nibbles.
We then headed off to dinner at a lovely new Italian/South American fusion restaurant at Briar Ridge vineyard called Estancia Osteria. The food, service and of course the company were wonderful.
The next morning we met up after breakfast for a beautiful country drive to Dungog then to the wonderful Farmer's Wife Distillery for a banquet lunch. The roads and scenery were just wonderful in our Maseratis and the weather was our friend. Probably the highlight of the weekend. The distillery and restaurant was a very pleasant surprise.
With our bellies full most members headed home while a few of us who were staying a further night caught up for a casual dinner at the local club.
